Frequently Asked Questions
What is the flow rate range of Harris regulators?
Harris regulators offer flow rates ranging from 0 to 4500 SCFH (AIR).
How do you read a flow gauge?
The gas flow rate is read from the position of the top of the bobbin of the flowmeter. In flowmeters with a ball, rather than a bobbin (right), the reading is taken from the centre of the ball.
Is a flowmeter the same as a regulator?
A regulator operates on pressure instead of volume. This means a flowmeter will always be more accurate than a regulator for measuring flow volume. A flowmeter is an outer tube with another glass tube inside, marked for flow in CPH and LPM. A small ball bearing inside the tube indicates the flow.
