Features

  • These ring assortments feature carbon steel / steel construction with a phosphate finish for high strength and shock resistance.
  • The E-clip rings are installed radially and have a wider shoulder as compared to other external rings, thereby yielding higher thrust and load-bearing capacity, as well as a larger retaining area.
  • These retaining rings / E-clips are manufactured to resemble a 'C' shape, allowing them to expand when used with a shaft or compress when employed into a hole.
  • They are used to substitute the requirement for mechanical fasteners (like split pins, nuts, rivets, etc.) and decrease the weight of an assembly.

What is the difference between external and internal retaining rings?

An internal retaining ring fits into housing / bore whereas an external retaining ring fits over or around a shaft / pin.

Can we reuse a retaining ring?
