Macromatic time delay relays are designed to start or stop current from moving in coils, circuits or armatures. These plug-in units can be used with standard 8 & 11-pin octal sockets.
They have wide applications in the automation processes like packaging, assembly, and decentralised mechanisms.

Macromatic time delay relays have microprocessors for absolute performance and maximum flexibility.
They are encapsulated for protection against harsh environments.
These relays have both onboard & remote adjustability and provide delays from 0.05 seconds to 100 hours.
Macromatic 125VDC time delay relays have built-in load suppression that eliminates need for separate protection measures.
The brand's 12VDC time delay relays are connected internally via a 2-pin system for easy wiring.
Working Mechanism
When the coil is energised, the armature and pallet are drawn to the core and instantly move downward, closing or opening the action contact.
The thinner air in the chamber causes the piston rod to be damped and slowly descend as it starts to descend due to the released spring.
The moving contacts open and close when the piston rod descends to a specific position after a predetermined amount of time, at which point the delay contact action is applied through the lever.
The time spent between energising the coil and the end of the delay contact action is called the delay time.
