These kits have individual punches, holding handles and mandrels. The punch heads are attached to the mandrel and the mandrel is further attached to the holding handle. The holding handle is struck using a hammer to punch a hole through the gasket material.
No, these punches are made from hardened steel and do not require frequent edge sharpening.
It is recommended to closely measure and mark the point where holes need to be punched on the gasket. Pre marking prevents chances of errors while punching.
