Dayton non-illuminated selector switches operate machinery in different settings, initially selected in the normally open or closed orientation. These units are made from metal / plastic, offering protection against corrosion and the ingress of foreign objects. They are equipped with a chrome plate / zinc die-cast & plastic bezel that resists corrosive agents, spraying or seepage of oil and coolants, and damage from the external formation of ice on the enclosure. Dayton switches come with a contact block that encloses the contacts, which in turn helps to "make or break" the electric circuit. These units are available with in keyed, lever or extended lever-type operator variants.
