Dayton shaft couplings are manufactured for applications where alignment is necessary and backlash prevention is required. These rigid shaft couplings envelop around hard or soft shafts without deforming. They are also equipped with vibration-resistant screws and have black oxide finish for resisting corrosion on exposed surfaces. Choose from a range of these shaft couplings, available in 1/4, 3/4, 3/8, 5/16 and 5/8 inch bore diameters.
It is a slot cut in a part of a shaft coupling to ensure correct orientation with another part fitted with a compatible key. This keyway also prevents pushing the wrong key into the wrong slot.
Vibration resistance screws are used in rigid shaft coupling to prevent the coupling from loosening due to vibration, thereby extending the coupling life.
