Working Mechanism

• The light-emitting diode of Eaton 50 Series polarised reflex sensors emits a beam of light, typically infrared. The sensor receives a return beam from the object being sensed.
• The reflected beam is captured by the sensor's phototransistor detector, which then transforms it into an electrical signal.
• Once the electrical signal has been processed by the sensor, it becomes output as a control signal to the connected load or control system.
• Depending on the reflectivity of the object and the particular setup of the sensor, the control signal either indicates the object's presence or absence.
