Double-sealed ball bearings have two seals on either side to prevent dust, dirt and other contaminants. They are typically used in applications having exposure to a high level of debris or moisture.
Absolute encoders have a unique digital code for each position. Incremental encoders, on the other hand, generate pulses that are counted to determine position.
Quadrature encoders are designed to measure the position or rotation of an object and generate two output signals (A & B) that are 90 degrees out of phase with each other. The quadrature output signals allow the encoder to deliver more accurate position information than a single-channel encoder. By comparing the phase difference between two signals, the direction of rotation can be determined and by counting the number of pulses, the position can be indicated.
