Frequently Asked Questions
What are pressure compensators?
The function of a pressure compensator is to automatically adjust the size of the orifice between the inlet flow and compensator spool, thereby modulating the flow rate of liquid that enters the valve to maintain a constant pressure drop across the orifice.
What is meant by pressure override?
Pressure override (pressure differential) is the difference in the pressure reading from the time a valve first opens (cracking pressure) until it passes all pump flow to the tank.
What is the difference between a flow control valve and directional control valve?
A directional control valve can start, stop, accelerate, decelerate and change the direction of motion of the hydraulic actuator. The flow control valve, on the other hand, controls the speed of fluids in the hydraulic circuit.
