Working Mechanism

  • The working of the magnetic circuit protector (MCP) is based on the magnetic effect of the current.
  • The MCP consist of a coil and a plunger. When the current flowing through the coil exceeds a certain level, a magnetic field is generated by the coil.
  • This causes the plunger to move, thereby opening the contacts and interrupting the current flow.
