The power circuit breaker serves as the main disconnect switch for the motor control centre. It helps control the power flow to the MCC and protects the system against overloads, short circuits and other electrical faults.
Isolating barriers are designed to prevent unintended contact between the control circuits and the power circuits, thereby preventing electrical shocks, damage to equipment or even explosion. They consist of a barrier module that limits the transfer of electrical energy between two circuits while allowing control signals to pass through. They also help to reduce noise and improve signal integrity.
