Greenlee ratchet cable cutters are designed for cutting cables precisely. These cable cutters feature a single-speed ratchet mechanism with a blade release function that allows the blades to be open mid-cut. They have a compact design, making them optimal for tight spaces. These cutters feature one-hand operation to ensure less fatigue on the body, and are available in lengths ranging from 10 to 20 inches.
It is recommended to not cut / slice live wires as the high voltage wires may damage the insulation grip, thus passing the high amperage current to the user's body.
These ratchet wire cutters cut thick cables. However, the cable should be cut only if it fits inside the cutter's jaws with some margin-left out. Cutting oversized cables over cutters capacity damages the blade jaws of the cutter.
