Internal pipe wrenches by Proto are used to remove broken threaded pipe ends, pipe plugs and fittings without damaging the pipe surface or thread. They are made from hardened steel and have a corrosion-resistant plating. These torque wrenches by Proto use an eccentric cam action to move the wrench against the walls of the pipe.
Use a stiff brush and mild detergent to clean the jaws and handle, then dry the wrench thoroughly. Apply a light oil or lubricant to the pivot points and threads to keep them moving smoothly.
Turn the adjustment knob or wing nut located on the top of the jaws. Doing this will open or close the jaws, allowing you to adjust the size to fit around the fitting.
Store the internal pipe wrench in a dry place, such as a toolbox or tool cabinet, to protect it from rust and corrosion.
