Brazing Nozzle
Victor brazing tips are designed for joining multiple workpieces together without melting them. These brazing nozzles heat the workpiece to high temperatures and melt a filler metal onto the workpieces. These nozzles are used in conjunction with torch handlesfor purposes like structural steel fabrication, repair and maintenance and light fabrication tasks in various metalworking facilities. Victor brazing tips have copper construction that withstands high gas pressure and flame temperature while retaining the tip shape and structure. These brazing tips have built-in snap rings and brass coupling nuts for protecting the cone end against damage & wear. They further have individual spiral mixers for providing clean and well-directed flame for ensuring precise welding throughout the operation. Victor brazing tips can be fixed onto the torch handles without additional tools like a wrench. These brazing tips feature double O-Rings for providing gas-tight connection when installed. Victor nozzles have a 65-degree tip angle for ensuring easy welding and providing long cone flame output.
Uses
Victor brazing tips & sets are designed for joining multiple workpieces together without melting them. These brazing tips are used in conjunction with torch handles for structural steel fabrication, repair and maintenance and light fabrication tasks in various metalworking facilities.
Working Mechanism
Victors brazing tips are fixed onto the torch handle which is further attached to gas hoses and gas supply set. These brazing tips are attached to the torch handle using a brass coupling without additional tools like a wrench. The torch handle connected to the brazing tip controls the flow of the gas while the brazing nozzle directs the gas flow in the desired direction. These welding nozzles deliver clean & well-directed flame through their spiral mixer design.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the pressure settings for brazing applications?
Ideally, acetylene gas pressure should be set at 5 to 7 psi, while the oxygen pressure should be set at 7 to 10 psi.
Which flame is best for brazing workpieces?
Brazing applications use acetylene oxygen gas combination. The neutral or carburising flame should be used for brazing parts. The neutral flame generated provide well defined inner cone, ensuring precise brazing. Users should avoid an oxidising flame as it can damage the workpieces. The balance between oxygen & acetylene should be precise as acetylene removes surface oxides from copper workpieces.
How to replace brazing tips?
Victor brazing tips when worn out can be easily replaced. These brazing nozzles have brass connectors that can be easily screwed out to remove the brazing nozzle from the cutting torch. Once removed, the brazing nozzle can be replaced without additional tools.
Does the brand offer additional products?
Yes, Victor also offers various cutting torches, welding kits, Victor brazing sets, individual connectors, cutting nozzles and gas gauges.
What is the difference between brazing & welding nozzles?
Both these nozzles are just similar. However, brazing nozzles only heat the workpiece at high temperatures, whereas welding nozzles are required to melt the workpiece for joining it to another piece.
