Fibreglass handles are composed of fibreglass reinforced plastic (FRP), offering a high strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion. They also exhibit shock-absorbing attributes to allow exceptional overstrike protection and superior impact force.
Westward hammers come with a non-slip grip on handles to increase traction, making them efficient to be used in wet or slippery conditions. Some non-slip grips are made of rubber or other materials that are applied to the surface of the object, while others are built into the object itself. They offer a stronghold and provide comfort during prolonged hammering applications.
Some cross pein hammers come with hi-viz orange colour to increase visibility and safety when using the hammer. The orange colour makes it easy to spot the tool if lost or displaced and is highly useful in low-light conditions, preventing any potential injury.
