ARO 66605J-344 PTFE double diaphragm pump is a positive displacement pump that employs two sets of flexible membranes to move fluids, ensuring unidirectional fluid flow through the chambers. It is used in the chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food & beverage production and water treatment industries.

Working Mechanism:

Air-operated diaphragm pumps separate the liquid chamber from the air chamber.
Inlet and outlet air valves manage compressed air flow. At rest, the inlet valve is open, and the outlet valve is closed.
To start the pump, compressed air enters the air chamber behind one diaphragm, causing it to flex inward, creating a vacuum that draws liquid in through the inlet check valve.
As one diaphragm pulls liquid in, the opposite diaphragm pushes it out through the outlet check valve, producing a pulsating liquid flow.
After the first diaphragm's stroke, air valves switch; the inlet closes, and the outlet opens, directing air to the second diaphragm.
This process repeats, with the second diaphragm drawing in liquid and the first expelling it, maintaining a continuous flow.
The dual diaphragm design ensures balanced, symmetrical pumping action, reducing stress on components for smooth, consistent flow.
