Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What is the product made of?
A. The bulkhead is made from glass-reinforced polypropylene to allow rigidity, light weight, low moisture absorption and excellent stress cracking & impact resistance.
Q. What side is the gasket installed on a bulkhead?
A. The gasket is always installed on the flange side of the bulkhead, not on the nut side, regardless of the position of the flange (inside or outside the tank) to create an air-tight seal. If the gasket is installed on the nut side, it will lead to leaks as water travels along the threads around the gasket.
Q. What is the function of a lock nut in Banjo tank fittings?
A. The locknut puts pressure on the gasket, allowing it to make a liquid-tight seal.
