Destaco 6001 straight line action clamp is designed for applying clamping force sideways rather than from the top, securing workpieces in limited space applications. This straight line action clamp is recommended for applications like testing, welding, fixturing, CNC machining, plastic injection molding, metalworking, woodworking, automotive part assembling and staking / light pressworking of industrial equipment. Destaco 6001 straight line clamp features a compact design to reduce space requirement for clamp installation & operation, thereby increasing ease of use in confined spaces for both single part & mass production. This straight line action clamp is capable of being locked in both retracted & extended positions and has a solid base for easy & quick installation. Destaco 6001 straight line action clamp has a round plunger that accommodates hex head spindle assembly for making the clamp's plunger length easily adjustable. Destaco 6001 straight line action clamp features steel construction for structural rigidity & resisting corrosion on exposed surfaces. This straight line action clamp is capable of withstanding loads up to 150 lb and is compatible with the brand's 105203 spindle to provide high performance automation, workholding and containment solutions, as well as optimum clamping force.
Destaco 6001 straight line action clamp is used in the aerospace, automotive, metalworking and food & packaging industries for welding, testing, plastic injection molding, fixturing, tensioning devices, CNC machining, automotive part assembling and staking or light pressworking of industrial equipment.
Destaco 6001 straight line action clamp is manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 standards to provide safety to the user, good environmental health and enhanced performance of the clamp.
A. A straight line clamp includes a sliding plunger to provide straight line clamping action. The plunger can be locked in either pulling or pushing direction for holding workpieces.
A. Destaco clamps have steel or stainless steel construction and are available in variants having flange, narrow flange, straight or solid base mounting styles for easy installation. These clamps are available in varying holding capacities to denote the maximum external force that a clamp in the locked position can resist safely, without getting deformed permanently. Straight line action clamps also feature imperial or metric plunger threads for secure installation. The customers should choose clamps on the basis of distance travelled by plungers in their extended position.
A. A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
A. The clamp's holding capacity or holding force is basically the capability of a clamp for holding down mechanical equipment or sheet metal while assembling automotive parts or during similar manufacturing processes.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to the workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, including cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
