Destaco G-121/45 variable stroke straight line action clamp is designed for applications where workpiece thicknesses and tolerances vary. This straight line action clamp is recommended for clamping between ribs and hollow spaces that are difficult to reach. It features a compact design that allows both single part & mass production. Destaco G-121/45 variable stroke straight line action clamp is equipped with a plunger and hand wheel / hand lever that can be operated either by one hand or both hands, separately or simultaneously. It has a foot mounted, flanged base for ease of installation and is capable of withstanding loads up to 675 lb. Destaco G-121/45 straight line action clamp is designed only for axial loads, and an additional radial support is recommended for use with side loads.
Destaco G-121/45 straight line action clamp is used for single part / mass production of fixtures.
A. This clamp is designed only for axial loads. In case of side loads, we would recommend an additional radial support for the plunger.
A. Destaco straight line clamps incorporate a sliding plunger to provide straight line clamping action. The plunger can be locked in either pulling or pushing direction for holding workpieces.
A. A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
A. The holding capacity or holding force represents the capability of a clamp for holding down mechanical equipment or sheet metal while assembling automotive parts or during manufacturing processes.
A. There is no such significance of the colour of the clamp's handle, as it only represents a recognisable area. This helps operators in finding the handle quickly & easily.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to the workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors including cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
