Dynabrade 57126 air polisher / buffer is a Dynabrade Dynabuffer random orbital polisher that is ideal for repairing minor surface defects like sanding scratches in a two-step polishing system comprising sanding & buffing operations. This Dynabrade polisher moves the 3-inch backup pad or the optional polishing buff in a 14 mm diameter offset orbit.
Working Mechanism:
- Firstly, sand the surface to be repaired and then check all the buffing equipment and mounting accessories for any damage. Wear personal protection equipment. Check that the tool is not running at speeds above the rated RPM (speed) using a magnetic tachometer (Dynabuffer 96368).
- Connect the tool to the air power source with inlet pressure below 80 PSIG through a filter-regulator-lubricator unit to prevent unclean / wet air or insufficient lubrication..
- Apply & spread the polishing compound to the buffing pad attached to this Dynabuffer and the work surface.
- Place the pad on the sanded area while applying approximately 3 lb of pressure. Throttle the unit On and then adjust the pressure for finding the 'sweet spot' and minimising vibration.
li>Move the pad randomly while keeping it tipped slightly forward or flat.- Throttle the tool Off after some time with the pad still on the surface.
- Wipe the buffed surface dry with a clean, soft cloth. If the surface is still full of imperfections, repeat the sanding & this buffing process (two-step system).
