A. It is a method of manufacturing a rotating, PTFE-lined pipe spool without using welded or screw-threaded collars.
Q. How to install this flange?
A.
- Slip the flange over the spiral ductwork allowing the duct to extend 1/2 inch beyond the face of the flange.
- Ensure the flange is square to the duct.
- Peen 4 tabs about 1 inch wide and 90 degrees apart.
- Rotate the duct 45 degrees and peen four more tabs in the same way.
- Peen the remaining edges of the duct over the flange and bolt them.
