Midwest Industrial Packaging MIP-380 strapping tensioner is designed for steel strapping. It is used for binding items to prevent their movement. This strapping tensioner is also ideal for securing heavy loads or loads with round / irregular edges, including lumber, cement blocks and machinery.

Working Mechanism:

• Pull the strapping from the cart and place it around the load.
• Push the closed seal with the flat side of the seal facing the outer face of the strap.
• Slide the end of the strap through the bottom of the seal and field over the end to form a hook.
• Insert the tensioner into the strap.
• Squeeze the tension handle down to the base and put the top strap through the pusher tool, with the seal against the nose of the tool.
• Release the tension handle to clamp back down on the strap.
• Make sure that the strap is flush with the inside edge of the product.
• Move the tension handle back and forth to tighten the strap.
• Seal the pusher seal using a sealer.
• To bend & break the banding, tilt the whole tool forward over the seal (with the seal secured) and back again approximately three times.
