Working Mechanism:
- For it to work correctly, the inlet pressure has to be 5 psi higher.
- As long as the outlet pressure is 5 psi lower throughout the whole working range, the inlet pressure can be as high as 140 psi and the backpressure (exit) can be as high as 70 psi.
- It takes around a second for the pilot pressure to surpass the process pressure once the signal to close the valve is issued.
- Once the pressure overcomes, closure occurs instantly, hence the possibility of a water hammer must be taken into account before specifying.
