Working Mechanism:
- Before installing, determine the shaft rotation direction.
- Install the oiler on the side of the equipment facing the direction of shaft rotation to prevent misfeeding of the oiler.
- Determine the equipment's proper oil level. Loosen the set screw and remove the reservoir.
- Connect the lower casting of this unit to the bearing chamber using side or bottom connections. Level it properly & mark the desired oil level.
- Measure the distance between the unit and the top edge of the spout angle. Mark this distance above the line made in the above step as X.
- Fill the equipment bearing chamber through the unit's lower casting until the oil level reaches the desired level mark.
- Fill 2/3 of the reservoir using the recommended oil using a funnel. Invert it over the lower casting. Insert the reservoir assembly till its bottom edge reaches the X mark.
- Tighten the set screws on the reservoir assembly and start up the process to check for the proper functioning of the oiler.
- Whenever the oil level in the attached system / equipment drops below a certain point, the liquid seal on the unit's reservoir spout breaks and allows air to enter through the air vent into the oil reservoir. This allows the oil to flow from the reservoir into the equipment and maintain the required lubrication.
- The liquid seal reestablishes itself after the depleted oil self-levels according to this constant level oiler.
