Working Mechanism:
- Connect the hoses to both the suction and discharge sides of the unit.
- Tighten the spin-on filters and lubricate the pump's internal gears using a small amount of fluid.
- Place the inlet hose into the machinery / container to be emptied / filtered and place the discharge hose into a clean container.
- Turn On the filtration cart after connecting it to a power supply.
- Fluid will now start flowing through the inlet hose, pump, filter assembly and discharge hose.
- Use the sample parts between the filters to monitor the condition of the fluid.
- Switch Off the unit after filtering the fluid. Wrap the power cable around the handle.
- Wipe off / catch any fluid spilt.
- Differential pressure gauges show an increase in pressure differential between them as the filter elements get clogged up. Users need to replace the filter element when this pressure differential between two gauges reaches 40 psi. If the user does not replace the filter element till the measure reaches 43 psi, the unit will go into bypass mode and no longer filter the oil / fluid.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What are the differences between in-line filters and portable filter units?
A. In-line filters continuously filter the oil / fluid in the system. Off-line systems like this Trico 36994 hand-held filter unit do not need to be permanently attached to a system. They are used only while filtering new fluid / oil before adding it to the system or reservoirs.
Q. Can we submerge this Trico 36994 low viscosity hand-held filter?
A. No, this low viscosity filtration system containing a totally enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) motor cannot be submerged into liquids. Users should take precautions in wet environments to not allow the fluids to come in contact with the unit's electrical components.
Q. What is the suction / lift head of this filter unit?
A. This filter unit has a 20 feet suction / lift head.
