Manhole cover lifters are used for moving, removing and replacing heavy manhole covers. Allegro manhole cover lifters are designed for removing worn-out manhole covers with minimal stress and back pain. These lifters feature steel or aluminium construction ensuring vibration damping and corrosion resistance. These manhole cover lifters have dual position lifting points that provide power to loosen the most stubborn covers, and are capable of handling loads up to 900 lb. Mag-Mate manhole cover lifters are used to magnetically, safely and quickly replace & remove manhole covers weighing up to 400 lb. These cover lifters provide excellent protection from falling and slipping, especially in snowy, rainy or icy conditions. The ergonomic design of these lifters allows even a single person to easily move and lift a heavy manhole cover. These manhole cover lifters are available in rubber, metal, steel & aluminium bodies on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • Align the lifter's jaws with the edges of the manhole cover.
  • Insert the lifter's jaws under the cover, ensuring a secure grip.
  • Grasp the handle of the lifter firmly with both hands.
  • Using a controlled and steady motion, lift the handle upwards to exert force on the manhole cover.
  • As you lift the handle, the lifter's jaws will raise the manhole cover off the opening.
  • Continue to lift until the cover is fully lifted and clear of the opening.
  • Once the cover is lifted, carefully set it aside in a safe location.
