This round electro lift magnet (RELM) offers concentrated holding power due to its deep-reaching magnetic field that can lift thick materials. It has a maximum holding value of 4500 lb.
Working Mechanism:
- Wipe any debris from the lifting magnet's bottom & the workpiece where the magnet will be placed.
- Centre the magnet on the workpiece.
- Turn the switch to On / Hold after positioning the magnet.
- Lift the piece slightly & move the load to ensure positive holding power. Lower the load & reposition the magnet to balance the load properly.
- Transport the workpiece to the desired location by avoiding severe jarring or swinging of the load.
- After positioning the load over a solid surface, move the load switch past the Off position to the Drop / Release position while holding for 2 - 3 seconds.
- The magnet should not be energised till it contacts the next piece to be lifted.
